1. The publisher

2. A guide, with nothing for sale

This site is editorial. It contains no offer and no invitation to purchase. No order can be placed, no payment can be made and no account can be opened here. As nothing is supplied, the site has no delivery terms and no returns terms.

We run no laboratory, perform no testing, provide no care and keep no health records. When the guide mentions laboratories, clinicians or reports, it describes how such things generally work, not a service of ours.

The site is written for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.

4. Information, not advice

The guide explains, in general terms, how a laboratory report is laid out and produced: its header and columns, reference intervals, units, flags, the conditions that affect a sample, and the value of comparing results over time.

Nothing here is advice about your health. We do not interpret results. Example figures show how units and intervals behave. They are not targets or thresholds. Do not start, stop or change anything on the strength of this site. Questions about your own results belong with the licensed clinician who ordered the test. We make no claim about any product, material or substance, and we describe, recommend and compare none.

If you believe you need urgent help, contact your local emergency number. Do not wait for a reply from a website.

We work to keep the guide correct, but laboratory methods, reporting formats and the rules on access to results differ between places and change over time. We give no warranty that the content is complete or current. Where this guide and the documentation of your own laboratory differ, the laboratory's documentation applies to your report.
